2026 MSEI Lab Activites

Welcoming Dr Antoine Barbot and Valentin from Femto-ST, CNRS, for CNRS–Imperial Joint Activities
It was our great pleasure to welcome Dr Antoine Barbot and his PhD student Valentin from Femto-ST, CNRS to visit our lab and take part in the CNRS–Imperial joint activities this April.
During their visit, we had a very productive and enjoyable time together through a series of academic exchanges and informal networking activities. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for both groups to strengthen connections, share ongoing research progress, and explore future directions for collaboration.
As part of the visit, Dr Barbot and Valentin joined our research group meeting, where we introduced our recent work and discussed current research interests across the team. The session encouraged lively discussion on related methodologies, technical challenges, and possible areas for future joint research. It was also a great opportunity for students and researchers to exchange ideas in a friendly and collaborative environment.
In addition to the formal academic meeting, we were delighted to spend time together during a group lunch, which created a relaxed setting for further conversations and networking. These informal interactions are equally important in building strong international partnerships and fostering mutual understanding between research teams.
We are very grateful to Antoine and Valentin for their visit and for the inspiring discussions throughout the day. We look forward to continuing the collaboration between Femto-ST, CNRS and Imperial, and to developing more joint research activities in the future.
